We love all our local Good Food and Natural Product brands. This week’s Five Local Chicago Brands to Try This Week — a joint feature by SPINS and Naturally Chicago — happens to feature some brands that are already among our best buds.

● Two of the brands are Fellows in the current Good Food Accelerator entrepreneur cohort: Chia Leah, which makes wholesome, high-quality grab-and-go snacks with real ingredients and without refined sugar or preservatives, and Tomato Bliss, which produces jars of delicious, Michigan-grown heirloom tomatoes, soup, salsa and tomato juice. Both businesses are woman-owned. The Good Food Accelerator is a program of FamilyFarmed, also the parent non-profit of Naturally Chicago.

Parks & Nash, which is disrupting the instant soup aisle with its bone broth soup in a cup, won the Judges Award at the Naturally Chicago Pitch Slam, held at the 2019 Good Food Financing & Innovation Conference last November.

Somers Family MustKetch, makers of super-tasty blends of ketchup and mustard, participated in the Good Food Marketplace trade show at FamilyFarmed’s last Good Food EXPO, held in March 2019.

And of course, we’re always looking for new besties, so meet Better Blends, which makes truly yummy-sounding blend-at-home smoothie kits.

Here’s more about these great products. Give them a try this week and hey, if you do, share a photo in the comments or send to bob@naturallychicago.org for us to share.
