Ka-Pop, a maker of ancient grain popped snacks — and a participant in the KraftHeinz Springboard incubator program — will be pitching for investment dollars on ABC-TV’s Shark Tank program this Sunday (January 19) at 8 p.m. central time.

Ka-Pop produces popped chips, made with ingredients such as quinoa and sorghum, in a variety of snackable flavors. Founder Dustin Finkel, a fitness trainer who has been a “Paleo enthusiast” since 2007, was motivated to create Ka-Pop when he realized that the supposedly healthy snacks served at a gathering were really not that healthy, and did not taste that good either.

Ka-Pop’s treats are gluten free, top 12 allergen free, non-GMO and vegan, and can be purchased on their website.

KraftHeinz Springboard is a Platinum level sponsor of Naturally Chicago. Their website describes the Springboard business incubator thus: “The program was created to turn start-ups with disruptive products and brands into thriving companies in the food and beverage industry. Companies invited into the Incubator program are given a unique opportunity with an abundance of tools and resources to help make their goals a reality.”

Springboard invites you to take the plunge and join them for a Shark Tank watching party on Sunday from 7-9 p.m, at Joe’s on Weed St., 940 W. Weed in Chicago. Celebrate and watch founder Dustin Finkel as he enters the tank & becomes #sharkbait. Light appetizers & snacks will be provided at the viewing party. with drinks & additional food for purchase. You can also show your support by liking & following Ka-Pop’s social pages on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Tune into Shark Tank and root for one of the good guys!
