Our 3rd Annual Day of the Dead Party Was Muy Fantastico!

We can say this simply: Our 3rd Annual Day of the Dead Party, held the evening of November 1, was a blast. Great food, beverages and company. So much fun, so much buzz in the room.

Hopefully the photo display below gives the flavor of this very hot and very cool event.

Thanks to our friends at Uncommon Ground restaurant in Lakeview for their uncommonly wonderful hospitality. Uncommon Ground has been the host for all three of our Day of the Dead parties.

Thanks to those who provided all that delicious food: Walking Tamales by Fillo's Americas MadeFusion Foods Group/Duo Brands sliders made with a beef-mushroom blend; tinga tacos from Windy City MushroomTheo's Plant Based BEET JerkyIya Foods Chipers;  La Preferida rice and beans; salad bars from Undressed; Tirlán cheese from grass-fed cows; and Schweet Homemade Chicago Cheesecake.

Thanks for these awesome beverages: margaritas featuring Inspiro Tequila and Twisted Alchemy cold-pressed juice mixers; beer from Uncommon Ground’s Greenstar, the first organic brewery in Illinois; and de la Calle Tepache.

And thanks to the Naturally Chicago family: the staff, contractors and volunteers who brought the party to life.
